Buy blue
Do you think it has something to do with that "blue" site, of the Overstock-dot-com persuasion? Or may be the place sells self-help items for those wallowing in ultramarine feelings?
No, no and no.
From their stated mission:
...
BuyBlue.org supports businesses that share our progressive values and ideals. We believe in a triple bottom line: people, planet and profit.
Besides the fact that "planet" (they mean sustainability) part is proved to bring very little profit (except the political one, that is), how screwed their brains really are? This reasoning reminds me of a dialogue I had in one of the 2blowhards' threads, right before the last election, with a socialist who admired Manhattan/Hollywood limousine liberals (S. Sarandon, T. Robbins, Barbra and such) for their "progressive" ideas. I said, to be logical and appear at least honest in their beliefs, these people must give up their riches to the "unfortunate" masses - and was candidly asked in response: "what's wrong with making money off your sincere beliefs"?
Note: Site found while perusing a conversation on Apartment Therapy - of all places - where one of the commenters labeled Amazon as "Bushista collaborators " and gave the link to above site as her source...
